EMBRACE

The Documentary

FREE Community Movie Night event to celebrate another awesome term of Curvylicious/Adaptive Yoga and I would love you to come!

Embrace is a social impact documentary that explores the serious issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies. Released in 2016, this film is relevant, relatable, highly engaging – but above all life changing.

Nominated for the Documentary Australia Foundation Award for Best Documentary, Embrace has been seen by millions of people across the world and has created a ripple of positive change.

This event is also in memory of the luscious beautiful woman that was Sarah Harry @BodyPositiveYoga (see pics above).

An absolute legend who I had the privilege to know and be inspired by...Sarah went to the angels last week and her tireless work to facilitate body peace and worthiness for ALL through Yoga and psychotherapy will live on.

"Sarah’s ultimate calling was to facilitate change – both for her clients in their daily lives and in her high-profile activism work and teaching. She was the first plus size Australian women to appear on the cover of a yoga magazine. She was a tireless advocate for fat yoga, body positivity and HAES"

Sarah was my teacher and mentor. Most of my students never met Sarah directly but have definitely 'met her' in my classes/teachings and guidance to body peace :) Sarah will continue to inspire my teaching and my courage to ‘get out there’ and share accessible, inclusive Body Peace Yoga.

We will watch together the inspiring doco ‘Embrace’ on my big screen - think projector and the WHOLE WALL!

It’s FREE but you still need to book please as the space is cosy :)

BYO drinks and snacks.
